An outgoing town clerk was presented with a framed photograph to remind him of Epping as he left to take a new job last week.
Alan Shaw has been Epping town clerk since October 2013, taking control of a range of administrative roles for the town council after joining from Waltham Forest Council.
Before leaving last week to take a similar role with a council in County Durham, he was presented with the framed historical photograph of the High Street by councillors and MP Eleanor Laing at the Epping Town Show.
He said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
“[My departure] is entirely for personal reasons.”
