The first ever sports day took for a new Walthamstow school this week, before it opens in September.
Children got to know their classmates through games and events organised by Walthamstow Primary.
Those who took part will be the new primary school’s very first pupils.
Walthamstow Primary Academy is opening this year on Billet Road, next to its sister secondary school Walthamstow Academy.
The school is developing a bespoke new building which opens in 2016 and will grow each year to become a school for 420 pupils.
Four teams took part in a sack race and an egg and spoon race, whilst children showed off their accuracy and athleticism with beanbag throwing games.
