An award-winning comedy writer and radio presenter will visit the National Jazz Archive next month, to give a talk on esteemed trombonist George Chisholm.
Jazz FM presenter Bob Sinfield will visit the archives at Loughton Library on August 1 to talk about Mr Chisholm, who died in 1997.
Known for his double life as musician and comedian, he was regarded as one of Britain’s greatest jazz trombonists and was awarded an OBE in 1984.
Recordings of his music will be played at the event and copies of the biography, Gentleman of Jazz, will be available to buy.
