Muslim residents of Waltham Forest joined forces with the Christian Kitchen charity, this month.
Over the holy month of Ramadan the charity which feeds dozens of homeless people was helped out by residents who were fasting.
The new helpers brought food and drink to the site in Walthamstow and distributed them to people turning up for a hot meal.
Muslims are encouraged to give to charity during the month of Ramadan.
Founder and Life Patron Maureen Rhodes set up Christian Kitchen, which serves meals in the car park in Mission Grove, Walthamstow 365 days per year, over 25 years ago.
