Cute, cuddly and exotic guests arrived at a Walthamstow shopping centre this morning.

Reptiles, rabbits and other residents of Brooks Farm made a trip to The Mall in the High Street to collect a donation made by the shopping centre.

Brooks Farm, which is run by the Forest YMCA, is The Mall Walthamstow’s chosen charity for 2015 as part of its Mall Cares campaign.

As of next week, shoppers will be able to get up close and personal with an array of animals between 11am and 4pm every day.

Goslings, bearded dragons, yellow-bellied turtles, stick insects and a blue tongue skink will be among the visitors, between Monday and Friday.

Marketing Manager at The Mall, Rebecca Marjoram, who presented the latest donation of £500 to Brooks Farm, said: “It’s great to be able to continue The Mall’s support of Brooks Farm with our fundraising.

“We hope lots of families will come along that week to meet the many animals and the team from the farm and learn lots more about them all.

“Children can draw their favourite animal and get involved at our arts and crafts area too.”
