A hospital breast cancer charity is set to host a fun run in a bid to raise much-needed funds.
Staff at Princess Alexandra Hospital are set to host the event next month (September 27) in Epping Forest in hopes of raising money to fund further clinical research.
The fundraising total will also allow the charity to purchase special equipment, introduce new initiatives to help improve understanding of the disease and to find new ways of preventing, diagnosing and treating breast cancer.
The fun run will see participants either walk or run 5 or 10k through the forest, starting at The Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge in Rangers Road, Epping.
Residents will be treated to an ‘alfresco’ breakfast following the event which starts at 9am.
Runners will be warmed up by Matty Blewitt, a fitness guru from Loughton Boot Club, before running alongside television stars including The Only Way is Essex’s Lewis Bloor.
You can enter the fun run by calling the charity on 01279 827857.
