Children will get the chance to make and curate their own museum exhibition at a summer holiday event next week.

The Make a Mini Museum event will be held at Epping Forest District Museum next Tuesday (August 11), as part of an ongoing series of arts events.

At the Waltham Abbey museum, which is currently undergoing a major refurbishment programme, children will be taught how to create their own weavings inspired by famed Walthamstow designer William Morris.

After making their own weavings, children will then get the chance to add them to a miniature exhibition in the museum itself.

The event, which costs £1 to enter, runs between midday and 3pm and is open to children aged between five and 13-years-old.
