A group of garden-enthusiasts are set to launch a beekeeping area on an allotment site next week.
The team from Roding Road Allotments and Leisure Gardens in Roding Road, Loughton, are set to open the new area in front of residents next week.
Permission for the hives to be added to the site was granted in April by Loughton Town Council.
Anyone who wishes to keep bees on the site can call the allotment the Secretary on 020 8508 0228.
The new area will be opened at 11am on Thursday (August 13).
