A popular family picnic on a grand scale will return for a second year.
Over 500 visitors attended last year's 'Picnic in the Park' at Highams Park field off Charter Road.
It was the first of its kind to be organised by community group the Friends of the Highams Park (FOTHP).
Now, the FOTHP are preparing for their second picnic in association with the Highams Park Residents' Association.
The event is taking place on September 6 from 3pm to 6pm and promises crowds live jazz, traditional games, hot food and ice cream.
