A free festival of flowers and family fun will be held on the Bank Holiday weekend later this month.
St Mary’s Church in Theydon Bois will host its Flower Festival on the three-day weekend from August 29, with a range of events as well as displays, stalls and food.
The event, which has the theme ‘Saints Alive’, will open on the Saturday, with a family church service from 10.30am on Sunday and a barbecue and fun day on the Monday.
Floral displays will be set up in the church, with the hall hosting stalls selling gifts, jewellery, plants and home produce.
Food and drink will be available, and a bouncy castle will feature at the barbecue and fun day.
The event is free to enter, with festival programmes available for donations.
