FREE skills sessions are being held in Leyton.

Elderly residents and people with special needs are being offered the opportunity to pick up new skills and make new friends.

Music therapy, relaxation and activities are on offer through the ‘Our Hearts’ project with sessions being held at Cornerstone Church Hall, in Canterbury Road, Leyton.

Non-profit organisation A* Star Enterprise is hosting the sessions.

Founder Sandra Rigobert said: “The aim of the ‘Our Hearts’ project is to support ageing and special needs adults in Waltham Forest in the Forest Ward by giving them the opportunity to experience and learn new skills and hobbies that improve how they live in our community.”

The next date is August 27 with subsequent sessions on September 24, November 26 and December 17.

A* Star Enterprise received funding from the Forest Community Ward Forum to run the project.
