Residents of Epping Forest are being urged to make their nominations for outstanding contribution towards sport and physical activity.
Essex County Council are once again running the Active Essex Sports Award, which has seen a range of people rewarded for sporting events that have encourage and increased participation.
Active Essex’s aims to ensure that everybody involved in organising and participating in sport, from accomplished professionals to coaches training the next generation of athletes, is recognised for their achievements.
Gary Sullivan OBE, chairman of Active Essex, said: “Our annual sports awards highlights those making outstanding contributions to sport and physical activity in our county.
“It is their passion and effort that keeps Essex at the top of the sporting charts - they are the local heroes inspiring the next generation.”
The award categories for 2015 vary from ‘Active Workplace of the Year’ to ‘Services to Disability Sport’.
The awards ceremony will take place in Colchester on December 2 2015.
