GOLDERS Green will soon offer the neighbourhood a community post office that is open seven days a week.

The current service in Princes Parade, Golders Green Road, is being modernised and their new service will launch on September 23.

It will be open from 7am-6pm Mon –Fri, and 7.30am – 12.30pm on Saturday and 7.30-11am on Sunday.

People can use the new services available, which include special delivery, local collect, home shopping returns, online banking cash deposits and withdrawals.

They can also take out withdrawals using a Post Office Card Account, sending funds abroad using Moneygram, and customers can also pay bills, pre-order travel money, apply for travel insurance and top up mobile phones.

Manager David Gold, said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.

“We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.

"This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future.”

The Post Office will close at 12:30pm on Saturday September 10 for the refurbishment to take place.

During this time, until the post office is re-opened, customers can use the Hendon Post Office, in Brent Street, or Golders Green Post Office, in Finchley Road.
