Two teenagers have been caught and arrested on suspicion of carrying knives in Barnet.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested on September 12, for carrying a knife, for driving an uninsured moped without owner’s consent and failing to wear a helmet.
A seven inch knife was then found in a hedge along the route the moped was believed to have taken.
He was granted bail, and was ordered to appear at North West London Magistrates Court in October.
Police also arrested a 13-year-old for carrying a knife, after a member of the public reported a group of young people acting suspiciously on the Grahame Park estate, on September 15.
A number of them were detained.
Officers recovered a large ‘Rambo’ style knife on one of them.
He is still in custody.
