Two people have been seriously injured after their motorcycle hit a traffic island.
A 52-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man were sent to hospital after the crash occurred in Burnt Oak Broadway, Edgware.
The woman is a critical condition while the man is serious but stable.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at 11:27pm.
A police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 11:27pm on Wednesday, April 18, to reports of a motorcycle collision with a traffic island on Burnt Oak Broadway.
“A 52-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man had sustained injuries.
“Both rider and passenger were taken to hospital, the woman is in a critical condition; the man is described as serious but stable.
“It is not known who the rider of the motorcycle was and which was the pillion passenger.”
