ATTENDING a council meeting in Epping on Tuesday October 28, or rather cramming into the reception area watching a large television, was like watching paint dry.
The only thing that woke us up was a question about house prices dropping and crime rates rising. I am sure people living in the heart of Epping are sorry for surrounding villages gypsy and traveller problems, but don't hold your breath.
This proposal is already appearing on searches made by the buyer of your property.
You can't call a spade a spade anymore – but you can't stop everyone's knowledge of gypsy and travellers.
Also, we’ve not had a village school for years so the children will have to go to Epping. Overall, I found the whole meeting farcical – like ‘don’t mention the war’ in the Epping council office. Don't mention the gypsies and travellers!
