TODAY Iceland are offering 18 per cent interest to investors in a last ditch attempt to attract foreign currency.
That siren song will, I fear, prove irresistible to our cabinet member for finance Chris Whitbread who has already lost £2.5million of our council tax money.
I sincerely hope the crew of the good ship Epping Forest District Council lash ‘Ulysses’ Whitbread tightly to the mast until perfidious Iceland sinks beneath the waves.
