Jewellery makers could inspire the young

Congratulations to Natasha Faith and Semhal Zemikael (Jewellery designers to the stars - aged 23, Guardian, October 8). It is great to see young people making the headlines for all the right reasons.

So often we read about negative portrayals of youngsters and, sadly, I’m sure there will be stories in this week’s Guardian that fit into that category.

It is so refreshing to hear about two young women who are not only intelligent, creative and ambitious, but who are also already so successful at such a young age. I hope the council can persuade them to get involved in mentoring young people or giving to talks.

I’m sure they would prove inspirational to young people .
