Action group or just vigilantes?

AT the last parish council elections, Theydon Bois villagers were encouraged to vote for a group of people purporting to be Independents.

They ran a wonderful campaign knocking on doors, posting leaflets and patrolling the shops with loud hailers.

We now find that we voted for nearly half our parish council to be run by members of the vigilante group known as TBAG (Theydon Bois Action Group).

It is not surprising that they did not admit to being members of this ‘action group’ as they had already upset many of the local people by preventing the completion of the golf course on Blunts Farm, which would have been completed by now – leaving us with a vast blot on the landscape which is now to be used for motorbike races and motocross.

It won’t be long before this is made brownfield instead of green belt and will almost certainly be given planning permission for hundreds of homes or as a permanent site for travellers.
