LEYTONSTONE residents are being invited to create homemade art to be displayed in their windows.
As part of the Leytonstone Arts Trail, which takes place from June 27 to July 19, organisers are asking residents to “fill Leytonstone with art”.
Hilary Douse, a member of the arts trail committee, said: “Anything that makes the daily walk to the tube or the shops a brighter experience can only be a good thing.
“If people make the effort to create a piece of art it would be great to see it on display.
“We are particularly interested in seeing the efforts of our children and young people as they produce loads of brilliant work every day in our nurseries, schools and youth centres.”
The project is open to anyone who lives in Leytonstone. To participate, simply display artwork so that it is visible from the street during the trail period.
