Frenford Senior ran out 3-0 winners over Hinton in their Anagram Records Trophy tie in a game which saw three red cards.

The hosts were in charge early on but it took until the 34th minute to make their pressure pay, Carl Conway pouncing from close-range after a double stop from Gary Collins in the Hinton goal.

In the second period two Hinton players and one Frenford player were dismissed following an altercation.

That provided the catalyst that Frenford needed and the second came when Danny Driscoll connected with a cross.

Tommy Prendergast killed the game off in injury time with Frenford’s third.

In the other Anagram Records Trophy game, White Ensign slaughtered Westhamians 9-1, the consolation strike coming from Danny Riley.

Manford Way were beaten 3-1 at home by Aldborough Athletic in a local derby.

A goal from Greg Blake and a double from Danny Downer settled the tie; a result which keeps Manford Way in the relegation zone with only Hutton below them.

Wadham Lodge took advantage of Bishop Stortford Swifts slips up against Old Southendian to go top of the First Division, beating Galleywood 5-1 at home.

Elsewhere in Division One, Newbury Forest beat Canning Town 3-0 with goals from Toch Singh and Zack Bewley added to by an own-goal.

The victory leaves Forest into second place with only goal difference separating them from first spot.

Springfield beat Ongar Town 4-1 with Ben Polley keeping up his fine goalscoring form as the hosts ran out comfortable victors.

In the Second Division there was a clash between the top two as Epping played host to league leaders Roydon, the visitors extending their advantage with a 3-0 win.

Toby returned to league action in Division Three after their recent cup action, and continued their good form in doing so. Stambridge United were put to the sword 2-1, Paul Carr’s brace cementing the win.

Finally Christopher Wright’s strike was enough to help Forest United beat Catholic Athletic 1-0.
