Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly readying a considerable bid for Blackpool winger Tom Ince in January
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has given the green light for the club to make a bold move for Blackpool winger Tom Ince in the January transfer window.
Tottenham scouts, including technical co-odinator Tim Sherwood, have watched the 20-year-old star several times in recent weeks and have returned to White Hart Lane with glowing reports.
Ince has scored ten goals in 17 appearances this term and four goals in his last five matches.
Several Premier League clubs have shown an interest in the Blackpool ace but Spurs - determined to bolster their attacking ranks in January - hope to steal a march on their rivals with an early bid.
Ince's stock has risen substantially since the start of the season and, according to the Sun, would not be allowed to leave for less than £10m.
That is unlikely to deter Spurs though, with Villas-Boas desperate to add an extra wide man to his ranks to add competition and cover for established wingers Aaron Lennon and Gareth Bale.
Other targets high on Tottenham's list include Shakhtar Donetsk's Willian and Crystal Palace's Wifried Zaha but both players' price-tags have inflated considerably in recent weeks.
Willian is attracting the attention of a host of European clubs after impressive displays in the Champions League while Zaha received a call-up to the England squad last month.
Levy is therefore keen to swoop for Ince who he believes could represent better value for money.
