The fourth round of the Essex Premier Cup saw two Olympian sides lose to outside league opposition, while the all-Olympian League encounter between Kelvedon Hatch and Frenford Senior ended in a 1-0 win to Frenford.

Craig Marsh scored the decisive goal that won the tie, which tops a bad week for Kelvedon Hatch, who have now been knocked out of the Senior Cup and the Essex Premier Cup in a four-day period.

Premier Division leaders Southminster St Leonards travelled to Alemite Athletic and were sent packing as their hosts registered a 4-3 win.

Toby gained their third Essex & Suffolk Border scalp in the competition, travelling to Harwich & Parkston and winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Paul Carr and Ian McBane.

Manford Way meet Wadham Lodge in the final fourth round tie this weekend.

Other cup action saw Newham United lose a close game at Interwood by the only goal that ends their progress in the London Intermediate Cup.

A single goal also decided the third round Senior Division Cup tie between Springfield and Westhamians.

After a tense struggle, Matt Mink popped up on 85 minutes to fire Westhamians into the quarter-finals.

Canning Town kept themselves in the First Division mix as their 3-2 win over Ongar Town means they stay close to the teams above them – but they have played more games.

Ryan Kashim, Sean Mooney and Junior Henry did the damage for Canning Town. Ongar’s Ben Polley and Niki Love also scored but to no avail.
