East London Runners' Katrina Dixon endured hot and sticky conditions to complete the Mangalore half marathon in India.

Dixon, who is working in India for a few weeks and used the event to continue her training for the London Marathon, wore her East London Runners’ shirt with pride as she finished 70th in a time of 2.06.44.

Closer to home, Thomas Grimes came first at the St Luke’s Hospice ten-mile run in a time of 56.27.

Mark Wyatt and Will Pearce were 12th and 14th respectively.

Meanwhile, Patrick Brown led the way for Runners at the Wanstead Flats 5km park run, coming third in a time of 18.10.

Mark Boulton and James Wilson were hot on Brown’s heels finishing fourth and fifth respectively, while Gavin Stebbing recorded a course personal best for eighth place.

Derek Wright, Regis Martin, Mark Wyatt, Lisa Mullen and Anna Charlton completed the Runners group.

Tim le Rasle crossed the line in seventh at the Valentine park run with a time of 19.48.

Ninette Fernandes completed the Hackney Marshes park run in 25.34, which was enough for 22nd position.

Dan Spinks came 26th in the Black Park park run, stopping the clock on 21.12, while Allan Todd set a personal best of 18.59, which saw him finish fourth at Woodley Park.

Also setting a personal best was Mohammed Aklaqul-Ambea, who came second at Eton Dorney with a time of 19.10.
