Wanstead & Snaresbrook Thirds remained at the top of the Premier Division thanks to an eight-wicket win over South Woodford Thirds.

South Woodford won the toss and decided to bat but this backfired badly as they were bowled out for 54. It would have been even worse had Jamie Carroll not scored 23.

Mohammed Shahriyar gave up just 15 runs for his four wickets and Jahanser Akbar did even better, taking four for eight.

Karan Singh (17) and David Gibbs (27) helped Wanstead run out comfortable winners as they reached 57 for two.

Woodford Wells’ Thirds went down by 85 runs to Upminster Thirds.

Upminster won the toss and chose to bat. They were helped on their way to victory thanks to Frank Hazel (65). Hogg (46) added to the total as Upminster made 206 for seven.

Phillip Ashwell (22) and Campbell (24) were Woodford Wells’ highest scorers but after a collapse of four wickets for 20 runs, this was not enough as Upminster ran out convincing winners after bowling out their opponents for 121.

Fives and Heronians Thirds beat Chelmsford Thirds by five wickets.

Fives and Heronians won the toss and decided to bowl. Jack Moss (100) and James Arnold (44) were the main scorers as Chelmsford reached 205 for four.

Fives and Heronians had a good start through opener William Samuel (37) and then Quin Daniels (45) as they ran out winners by a margin of five wickets.

Division One leaders Buckhurst Hill Thirds saw off Harold Wood Thirds by six wickets.

Harold Wood won the toss and decided to bat. Lee Abbott (46) and Robert Netting (31) helped them reach 185 all out after Shahid Maan had taken six for 36.

Buckhurst Hill had a great start as Ash Mohammed (47) and Prashant Bajpai (47) helped their side on their way to victory. Second-placed Wanstead and Snaresbrook Fourths saw off Hadleigh and Thundersley Thirds by 60 runs.

Wanstead won the toss and decided to bat first, amassing 245 for six thanks to Danny Mead (74) and Jayden Rising (42).

In reply, Hadleigh and Thundersley started well through Daniel Timms (38). However, Wanstead ran out winners after six wickets from Ron Fitzgerald and four from Abubakar Janjua bowled out the opposition for 145.

Chingford Thirds were defeated by Hornchurch Thirds by 69 runs.

Chingford won the toss and decided to put their opponents into bat.

Mitchell Gilbert (37) and James Palmer (25) helped them on the way to a total of 191 all out. Chingford’s Rob Ewig took four wickets for 47 runs.

Andrew Norgate (51) couldn’t help Chingford to victory as they fell short of the target, bowled out for 122 mainly thanks to Naeem Anjurn, who took five for 22.

In Division Two, Loughton Thirds were forced to settle for a draw with Billericay Thirds.

Loughton won the toss and decided to bat first and Mark Nicol (47) and Adam Redpath (57) helped their side on their way to a total of 208 for nine.

In reply, Billericay started badly as they lost five wickets for 11 runs. However, Martin Southwell (41) and Michael Owens (27) helped them post a total of 113 for five as the game ended in a draw. Umer Aziz ended with three for 32.

West Essex Thirds drew with Harlow Thirds after they won the toss and decided to bat.

Alan Burton (61) and Michael Prodger (35) helped Harlow post a total of 191 all out, with Paul Griffiths taking six for 39 for West Essex.

In their reply of 160 for nine, West Essex’s Ollie Carter (24) and Waqas Akhtar (21) were the main contributors. Soulat Ali ended with five for 38.

South Woodford Fourths went down to Westcliff-On-Sea Thirds by five wickets in Division Three.

South Woodford won the toss and decided to bat and made 271 for eight.

Westcliff reached this target in 43.4 overs for the loss of five wickets.

Loughton Fourths went down to Wickford Thirds by three wickets.

Loughton won the toss and decided to bat and Naved Ali (42) and Umer Choudary (40) helped them post a total of 163 all out. Dave Harrison took three for 55.

In their reply, Wickford’s Sam Brown (46) and Neale Anderson (48) batted well as they reached 167 for seven to run out winners. Sam Gooding ended with two for 26.
