Leyton Orient boss thinks side deserved more from their defeat to Hull City
Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade felt his side deserved more from their 1-0 home defeat to Premier League side Hull City.
The O's were knocked out of the Capital One Cup after an extra time winner from substitute Robbie Brady. It was their first defeat of the season after winning their first five matches.
Slade said: "I think we did deserve more than that. To be fair to Steve [Bruce], who I was just having a sandwich with, he thought we deserved a little bit more than we got there.
"We just don't seem to be able to get one over them in some very tight games but I'm very proud of the performance tonight. It was a really good, strong performance.
"I thought there were some nice passages of play and we put them under a lot of pressure whether it was from a throw, a corner or open play. I was pleased with the performance and couldn't have asked for much more from them. They gave me everything and did it in a proper way too."
