West Ham United are set to complete the signing of Mladen Petric, subject to a medical

West Ham United are set to sign former Fulham striker Mladen Petric as cover for Andy Carroll - who could be out until the new year with a foot injury.
Carroll picked up the problem in training and, according to the Daily Mail, heard a 'pop' in his troublesome heel.
He will undergo a scan but Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has moved quickly to add to his options and Petric's signing is set to be announced subject to a medical.
The Croatia forward spent last season at Fulham - having previously appeared for Baden, Basel, Grasshopper, Borussia Dortmund and Hamburg.
West Ham said in a statement: "West Ham United can confirm Andy Carroll suffered an injury to his right foot during his return to full training today.
'Although it is in the same part of his foot as his previous injury, it is a new injury and therefore there will be no prognosis until he has seen a specialist."
