Millwall defender Danny Shittu helps Leyton Orient striker Kevin Lisbie net MK Dons winner
Millwall defender Danny Shittu played a key role in Leyton Orient's win over MK Dons on Saturday.
The former Watford and QPR player lent a piece of medical equipment which helped Kevin Lisbie recover in time from his dead leg.
The O's striker grabbed the second-half winner and manager Russell Slade believes the use of the equipment made all the difference.
Slade said: "I asked my friend Tim Breaker at Millwall who said their football club had one but we couldn't get that. But we knew Danny Shittu had a personal one so on Wednesday our youth team physio Joe Sharp said it could make a 30 or 40 per cent difference if we can get it on Lisbie's leg for 12 hours."
He added: "Joe went all the way to meet Danny so we could get it to Lis's house on Wednesday night and I think that made all the difference.
"It's called Game Ready where you've got a compression on all the time. The piece of equipment is about £4,000. It is hi tech science and it helped so could have been the difference between Lis starting or not starting.
"We did everything we could to get one into the football club. As a result I think we're going to rent one for a month!"
