West Ham have been handed an awkward-looking trip to Nottingham Forest in the third round of the FA Cup.
The Hammers' priority is retaining their Premier League status this season and Forest are handily placed to potentially join them in 2014/15 as they currently occupy a Championship play-off place in fifth, eight points behind the two automatic promotion places.
The two clubs last met in the 2011/12 campaign when West Ham completed the home and away league double with 2-1 and 4-1 victories in the Championship.
Their last meeting in the FA Cup came the season before when the Hammers came out on top 3-2.
The third round ties are due to be played on the weekend of January 4 and 5.
