O’Sullivan has been drawn against Robert Milkins in the first round of the Masters next month.
Snooker’s most prestigious invitation tournament runs from January 12 to 19 at Alexandra Palace in London, with a top prize of £200,000.
Gloucester’s Milkins will play in the tournament for the first time having climbed into the top 16 in the world.
