West Ham United legend Billy Bonds believes the Hammers' team is strong enough to remain in the Premier League.

The Irons have struggled this term and sit 17th in the table. Sam Allardyce's men are only outside of the drop zone on goal difference.

West Ham have lost four of their last five matches and Bonds, who spent 25 years with the Hammers as a player and manager, is confident results will improve when the club's injured players return.

"If you can get everybody back fit, I don't see them having a problem," he told West Ham's official website.

"It's easy for me to say from the outside because I don't have the job and I haven't got to worry about it now. I don't see them having any problem staying up, I really don't."
