East London Runners were out in force at the Bedford Half Marathon on Sunday, with six of the club's 18 competitors achieving personal best times.

Euan Brown was the club's fastest performer, coming 11th in a personal best time of 1.14.10 which was also a London Marathon qualifying time.

Not far behind was Patrick Brown in 17th who also registered a personl best of 1.16.36 and Mark Boulton whose personal best of 1.22.35 saw him finish 38th.

There were also personal bests for Sarah Burns (1.43.48), Jamee Gould (1.48.15) and Fiona Day (1.57.47).

There were also good times for Roberto Bruni (1.34.39), Grant Conway (1.43.28), Ramesh Pala (1.44.40), Kieran Brown (1.48.12), William Davies (1.49.52), Frank Brownlie (1.50.20), Alexandra Wilkinson (1.51.02), Natasha Tweedie (1.56.08), Ninette Fernandes (1.56.03), Trish Kelly (1.58.11) and Magda Stefanska (2.01.46).

Celia Payaneeandee recorded 1.50.03 on her debut half marathon.

Euan Brown warmed up for his Half Marathon on Saturday by finishing first at the Wanstead Flats 5km parkrun.

His time of 16.09 was his personal best.

Sarah Burns also recorded a personal best time of 22.21 which saw her finish as the fastest lady and 29th overall.

On her 50th parkrun, Fiona Day crossed the line in 27.36.

Patrick Brown also finished in pole position at the Walthamstow 5km parkrun with a time of 19.47.

Richard Guest came fifth in 21.18 while Steve Bywater finished 24th with a time of 24.54.

At the Hackney Marshes 5km parkrun, Paul Quinton came second in 17.10 while Russell Price (20.02) finished tenth and Lee Wollaston (20.11) came 12th.
