West Ham United have made enquiries into taking former Sunderland forward Asamoah Gyan on loan in the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old is currently playing for United Arab Emirates' side Al Ain but reports indicate Sam Allardyce has made an approach to sign the Ghanian international on a six-month loan.
Gyan is no stranger to English football. He played 34 games for Sunderland, scoring ten goals, before leaving the club in 2012.
