Applications are now open for Waltham Forests’ young sports men and women across to apply for extra funding for 2014 from the GLL Sport Foundation (GSF).
GSF, which works alongside charity SportsAid, helped 1,300 athletes in 2013 achieve sporting success and has provided a total of £2.8million in funding, facilities and education.
Olympic gold medallist and former World Champion Sally Gunnell, who is a patron for the Foundation, said: "From my own experience of starting out as a young athlete and progressing through my sport, I understand how important support from the Foundation can be to the realisation of sporting ambitions".
For more information on applying visit www.gllsportfoundation.org. Applications are open until February 20.
