Roger Johnson is set to be handed his West Ham United debut tonight as the Hammers look to upset the odds in their League Cup semi-final first leg tie at Manchester City.
Johnson agreed a loan deal at the club earlier this week and, with James Tomkins, James Collins and Winston Reid still injured, is likely to be thrown straight into the side at the Etihad Stadium.
Andy Carroll and Ricardo Vaz Te have returned to training and, while it is unlikely, either could feature in the Hammers’ squad.
Mark Noble could also play for the Irons if he is able to overcome the calf injury he sustained against Fulham on New Year’s Day.
City will be without Sergio Aguero, Dedryck Boyata and Jesus Navas while Micah Richards and Stevan Jovetic are doubts.
Jack Rodwell is also likely to with a hamstring injury.
