Ten man West Ham United boosted their survival hopes with a 2-0 win at Cardiff City in the Premier League.
Carlton Cole fired the Hammers into the lead but Sam Allardyce's side were reduced to ten men when James Tomkins was dismissed for catching Fraizer Campbell in the face.
But West Ham secured a vital win late on when Mark Noble finished off a counter-attack from the visitors.
