East London Runners had three of its members finish in the top ten at the Hackney Marshes parkrun on Saturday, with Euan Brown claiming victory in the race.

Brown recorded a personal best time of 16.02 in the 5km event which was enough to see him cross the line first.

Russell Price (sixth) and Lee Wollaston (seventh) could not be separated on the clock as both were deemed to have finished in 19.25 - which was a personal best for Wollaston.

Claire Parker (21.10), Roberto Bruni (21.13), Morgan Francis (21.32), Alexandra Wilkinson (22.18) and Sarah Burns (23.49) completed the Runners contingent.

At the Wanstead Flats parkrun, Thomas Grimes led the way for the club who managed a three, four, five, six in the race.

Grimes finished third with a time of 19.04 before Samuel Browne (19.25), James Wilson (19.44) and Gavin Stebbing (20.24) filled up the next three places.

Derek Wright came 11th in 21.56.

At the Walthamstow parkrun Patrick Brown was the only Runner competing and he did the club proud, finishing first in a time of 19.47.

There was also victory for the club's Mohammed Aklaqul Ambea at the Beckton parkrun. Aklaqul stopped the clock on 21.10.
