May & Baker E.C. opened up a ten-point cushion above the Premier Division relegation zone after they overturned Frenford Senior 1-0 at The Drive.

Scott Walsh scored the game’s only goal in a shock result which leaves Frenford in fifth place and seven points off leaders Buckhurst Hill.

Canning Town went on a goal frenzy as they blitzed Benfleet 8-1 in Division One.

The victory moves Canning up to fifth and in touching distance of the promotion places.

Courtney Linton and Paul Saunders both notched hat-tricks with Dwayne Williams and Arron James also getting on the scoresheet.

Benfleet’s lone reply came via Tom Trowler.

Leigh Ramblers meanwhile, moved themselves away from the bottom positions in the table after their game against bottom-placed Old Chelmsfordians ended 5-1 in their favour.

Max Corrigan bagged a brace with the other goals coming via Luke Read, David Birnie and Jack O’Connor, who scored from the penalty spot.

A penalty also provided Old Chelmsfordians with their only goal which came via Marti Callum.

Rochford Town missed the chance to go top of the table in Division Three as they were held to a 2-2 draw at Ramsden Scotia.

Anthony Driscoll and James Smith were on target for Ramsden with Daniel Barrington and Ryan Lancaster grabbing the Rochford goals.
