Rayleigh Town stretched their unbeaten run to 12 in all competitions on Saturday after they beat high flyers Bishops Stortford Swifts 4-1.

Ross Lamb provided the decisive strike, following up Orrie Rock’s saved header to smash the ball into the net.

The second half saw Springfield reduced to ten men and a revitalised Old Barkabbeyans pressed forward but keeper Lewis Batchford pulled off a number of saves to earn Springfield a 1-0 win.

Hutton now lead the table with 26 points, while Springfield are on 23 with a game in hand.
