West Ham are closing in on loan deals for Italian duo Antonio Nocerino and Marco Borriello, reports from Italy claim.

The agent of AC Milan midfielder Nocerino was said to be in London yesterday to discuss terms on a six-month move for his client and it is reported he could be joined at Upton Park by Borriello.

It is claimed the Roma striker will also join the Hammers until the summer amid suggestions that he could fly to London as early as today to finalise the move.

The 31-year-old 6ft 1in forward began his career at Milan but during his eight-year spell at the San Siro he had several loan moves to clubs including Sampdoria and Genoa.

Borriello, who is a full and Under-21 Italian international, moved to Roma in 2010 but has also been on loan to Juventus and Genoa again.

Nocerino has been capped at every level from Under-19 to full international and the midfielder spent five years at Juventus, which included a number of loan moves, before joining Palermo in 2008. He then moved to Milan in 2011.
