West Ham United have lost their appeal against the straight the red card Andy Carroll received against Swansea City on Saturday.
Carroll was dismissed by Howard Webb following what seemed an accidental clash with Swansea defender Chico Flores.
Carroll will now miss the next three matches which rules him out for the rest of February. He will be absent as the Irons take on Aston Villa, Norwich and Southampton.
Following the announcement that the red card would stand, Carroll posted on social networking site Twitter: "DISGRACEFUL!!!"
