West Ham United intend to take legal action after failing to overturn Andy Carroll's red card against Swansea.
The striker is banned for three games after the Football Association upheld the decision to send him off.
West Ham co-chairman David Gold said: "There is nowhere to go other than to seek some kind of legal redress."
