Young basketball players will be competing to be crowned kings of the borough at an Olympic venue tomorrow when they compete in the Waltham Forest schools’ finals at the Copperbox Arena.

The Copperbox, which hosted the modern pentathlon at London 2012, will set the stage for eight finals.

Ten competitive leagues have run since the end of October with 88 teams entered in total from the outset.

The first final is the Year 10 girls which tips off at 10am and pits Leytonstone School against either Lammas School or Buxton.

At 11.15am, Chingford Foundation School take on either Leytonstone or Frederick Bremer School in the Year 10 boys final.

The Year 11 girls final will see Holy Family or Lammas take on Frederik Bremmer or Heathcote at 12.30pm.

The last final of the day is the Year 11 boys at 1.45pm which will involve Leytonstone or Frederick Bremer versus Chingford Foundation or Heathcote.
