Talented West Ham United youngster Ravel Morrison has completed his loan move to Championship side QPR.

Harry Redknapp’s team are battling for promotion back to the Premier League but have lacked creativity so decided to add the troubled midfielder to their squad.

His departure on a 93-day loan was confirmed yesterday (Wednesday) morning.

“I just want to help QPR get to the Premier League – that’s my only objective during my time here,” Morrison told QPR’s website.

“If we manage to do that, it would be great for everybody connected with the club.

“All I want to do is play football. I just want to show everyone what I can do week in, week out.

“The aim here is to get the club promoted and I want to contribute in helping QPR to get there.”

QPR boss Harry Redknapp had previously told BBC Sport: “He’s a fantastic talent and could make all the difference. He seems a decent lad and a talented footballer.”

“As far as I know, he’s fit and ready to play. Hopefully he’s OK,” Redknapp added.

“It is a gamble. If he didn’t have a problem somewhere, we wouldn’t get him at QPR. He’d still be playing at Manchester United.

“We need someone who can unlock a defence, someone who can suddenly do something special and turn a game for you. I think Ravel might be one of those players.”

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce was asked about Morrison last week.

He replied: “Ravel is still complaining about the problem that he had from before Christmas - that he’s got a rumbling groin problem.

“He says he feels it occasionally. Instead of gritting your teeth and getting on with it... he’s not the type.

“Lots of players throughout the country will be playing with a similar type of injury that the medical team say ‘you can carry on, it’s not a problem’.”
