Woodford edged closer to their relegation rivals on Saturday as they were beaten 59-10 by third-placed Luton in London 1 North.
Tabard, who are a place behind in 12th, closed the gap on Woodford to nine points with a win over Diss as only three games survived the weather across the division.
Woodford were always behind against their high-flying opponents but managed to reduce the deficit to 14-7 when number eight Robert Connell scored a try after 19 minutes and Pete Hyett converted.
The visitors addded three more points before half-time but that was as good as it got as Luton were dominant in the second half, adding seven more tries in a convincing victory.
Woodford host eighth-placed Letchworth Garden City on Saturday. Chingford and Eton Manor’s games were postponed due to the weather.
