West Ham United midfielder Joe Cole could be shown the exit door at Upton Park at the end of the season with Championship play-off hopefuls Brighton and Hove Albion reportedly interested.
The 32-year-old has only made six league starts this season, and with his contract up in the summer, it is unlikely that Sam Allardyce will look to renew it, according to The Mirror.
As well as Brighton, Cole has attracted offers from the MLS, but declined as he didn’t want to relocate his young family.
As Cole is currently on a reported £90,000-a-week, any relocation will probably come with a steep reduction in wage demands, especially if he fails to find work within the Premier League.
Cole has not started for West Ham since their Capital One Cup defeat to Manchester City in January, and has only made one appearance in the last eight weeks; from the bench in West Ham's 3-1 loss to Stoke City.
