A ruthless display from Wanstead Under-13s helped them complete a 38-5 victory against Woodford on Sunday.
Wanstead went ahead thanks to a try from Tommy Tremayne and a second score soon followed from Jesus Correa. Josh Harrison then crashed over to put the home side in a commanding position.
Woodford then had a spell of pressure but couldn’t find a way through to the Wanstead line.
The hosts added another try as George O’Neil ran half the length of the pitch before touching down.
Woodford scored their only try of the game after the restart but Wanstead ran over two further scores to round off the victory.
There was a double header against Romford for Wanstead’s Under-11s and they recorded dominant 28-5 and 28-0 victories.
Brandon Smith, Harry Turner, Sid Robinson and Danny Batstone scored tries in the first match and the same four players also touched down in the second.
