The Lee Valley White Water Centre in Waltham Cross is opening its doors and offering people the opportunity to try their hand at canoeing this weekend.
The centre holds the 2014 GB Canoe Slalom Team Selection event this weekend which will feature the GB Canoe Slalom Team at the venue where they won gold and silver at the 2012 Olympic Games.
Canoe England’s Go Canoeing team will be running starter sessions throughout the weekend, starting on Friday. The 20-minute sessions are a perfect introduction to the sport and are suitable for all ages.
Those wanting to stay on dry land can put their paddling skills to the test in a canoe simulator challenge.
