Ridgeway Rovers Under-13's Panthers beat Senrab Lions 2-1 at Aveley FC in the Echo League Cup Final, experiencing the full stadium treatment in the process.

The players entered the field to the unmistakable sound of the Champions League entrance music, whilst in a rare treat, impartial linesmen were provided for the two clubs.

Ridgeway just shaded a tight first-half and had a couple of penalty claims turned down, but neither side were able to force an opener before the break.

The Panthers roared out in the second half and took the lead within a couple of minutes of the re-start, Tolu Sangawawa cutting back after good work down the right, allowing Regan Marshall to slot home the opener.

Marshall turned provider shortly after, charging down the left to cross for Gabriel Dyer, who finished this time.

At 2-0 down, Senrab stepped up their game and found a goal with 15 minutes to go. The Panthers fought hard to maintain their advantage, holding out for the win.

Manager Ian Marshall congratulated his players, saying "It is worth noting that this competition was a three-divisional cup and that included the teams from the division above us, so winning it is no mean feat."
