West Ham defender Pablo Armero would like to stay at West Ham United once his loan runs out at the end of the season.

The full back, on loan from Italian giants Napoli, told the official West Ham website: "I would like to have a good end with West Ham so in the future have a new contract with the team."

"I like the Premier League, because it is very fast, it is very exciting and I like how the crowd enjoy the games.

“I think it is thrilling playing here and I enjoy it.

The Colombian international, who has won 50 caps for his country, knows he needs strong performances in the remaining games of the season to cement his place in the World Cup squad.

“Firstly, I am thinking of West Ham and getting the maximum result here," he said.

"It is normal that, as we are getting close to the World Cup, I want to keep pace and be at full capacity so that I can be picked for Brazil 2014."
